Any colour you like

as long as it's bright

Zeros and ones in colour

There is a  huge amount of digitally-originated methods of decoration. All have something to
offer but if you use the wrong one for your job you will get a disappointing result,
which is the main reason people think they're a poor relation to a screen print.

They're not. They're just different.

Below is a precis of methods.

We now have a fantastic sublimation printer as well as the vinyl cutter,
plus the new kid on the block the DTF inkjet printable film that needs no weeding and sticks onto pretty much any fabric.

The even newer NKOTB! DTF can now print UV transfers:

Customise almost any product with a smooth, rigid surface! Suitable for ceramic, metal, glass, plastic and wood. Apply on to any colour, any material in full colour and white inks.

 Digital

Sublimation

Our new Sawgrass inkjet is a fabulous addition to our decoration method stable,
along with a sublimation oven for round items such as mugs.

Sublimation is a system that works by changing the colour of polyester/polyester coated materials.
Popular for mugs and other ceramics, but also bottle openers, flip-flops, jigsaws, bottles, the list is growing all the time.

Almost anything can be sublimated if it has a polyester coating applied.

Super-cool enamel mugs, done today, April 26th 2024 for our friends at Redmax.
Printed with our Sawgrass subli-printer and transferred with our JTrans oven.
They aren't for sale yet but drop them a message and encourage them to market them!

Direct to film DTF

Reversed image inkjet transfer printed onto carrier film with adhesive powder applied,
transfers onto many materials, no weeding, or pre-treatment of the garment is required.

Is absolutely superb for text, fine lines, etc.

The biggest step forward in garment decoration
.

And now DTF comes to North Devon!

We can now supply and stick DTF transfers so the sky is the limit for both designs and numbers, no longer is it uneconomic to have a multicolour and/or complex print on  small numbers of garments, as well as replicating designs onto difficult fabrics such as waterproof nylon or polyesters.

I generally forget to take pictures of jobs, so I'm attempting to be more conscientious...

This is a sample of the ace DTF for Phil Cowell.
We would previously have to do this as a screen printed transfer, the DTF makes it both more economic,
and a better finished article in my opinion.

Printer/cutter

Printable or coloured vinyl material used for producing transfers which, with the correct vinyl choice and transfer method, can adhere to any material.

Now used less often because of DTF, but is still an excellent choice for  polyester garments such as football strips, work wear, & jackets due to its opacity and high washing temperatures it can cope with.

Direct to garment

Inkjet printer that prints directly onto the garment, giving the  appearance of a screen print with minimal feel.

Good for short runs of multicolour and photorealistic designs.
